Mentor Meeting:

Chris strongly urges the team to take a much-needed break to ensure their own well-being and to set a positive example for the students. The speaker points out that the team ignored previous opportunities to rest and insists they step away for a nap, a walk, or to get some ice cream to relax. Taking this time to recharge is crucial because the students are currently feeling angry, scared, and rushed. If the team expresses exhaustion or an inability to continue, the students will mirror that negative energy, making it vital for the team to be mentally well before returning to help them.

With only one day left until their hard work pays off, Chris also emphasizes the critical need for ongoing self-care and hydration. The team is praised for being "awesome" and is encouraged by the fact that the project's successful conclusion is imminent. Before heading back in to figure out the remaining details, the speaker explicitly asks the team to ensure everyone drinks water, noting that many people appeared dangerously exhausted the previous day because they forgot to hydrate.
